Have you ever heard a preacher do this? Voice Follow hears the reference, pulls the verse in your translation, and puts it on the Apple TV — before they've finished reading it.
Turn on Voice Follow in the LightLoop Remote app and it listens through your iPhone's microphone (or connected input device). Everything — the listening, the transcription, the reference matching — happens on the device in your hand.
Tap the bible button in the Remote's toolbar. A live level meter fills the button so you always know it's hearing you, and a running transcript shows the words it's picking up.
“John three sixteen.” “First Corinthians chapter twelve, beginning in verse three.” “The second chapter of Acts.” Spoken references are matched against all 66 books and validated against real chapter and verse counts — so ordinary speech like “three points this morning” never triggers anything.
The verse fades onto the Apple TV over whatever is currently playing, using your default Bible translation and your default Bible template — background, fonts, colors and all. It's an interruption, not a takeover: the regular programming is still there underneath.
As the passage is read aloud, Voice Follow advances verse by verse. Cite a chapter without a verse — “in John ten, Jesus said, ‘my sheep hear my voice’” — and it fetches the chapter, then jumps to verse 27 when it hears the words.
When the speaker moves on and the words drift away from the text, the verse fades out on its own. No one has to clear it.
Voice Follow isn't only for scripture that's missing from the deck. Switch on Follow Slides and it matches what's being said against every text slide in the running playlist — then jumps the live presentation there.
Reads a quote off a slide you prepared? The presentation jumps to that slide. Skipped ahead two points? It catches up.
For songs you advance by hand, the next slide is already up as the last words are sung — like a teleprompter that listens. Repeated choruses don't send it backwards.
Songs with a track and timing markers keep advancing from the markers — Follow Slides leaves them alone, so lyrics never drift out of sync with the music.

Say “next” or “next slide” on its own — a beat of silence either side — and the presentation advances. Mid-sentence “next week” won't move a thing.

A sensitivity slider sets how much of a line must match before it acts — from “as soon as you hear it” to “wait until you're sure.”
Voice Follow is opt-in per feed, off by default, and every action it takes is visible and reversible from your phone.
Run scripture display on its own, slide following on its own, or both. Each is a single tap in the Remote's toolbar.
Tap the verse banner to clear it from the screen. Long-press to pin it up indefinitely — for a reading, a response, or a moment of reflection.
Speech is transcribed on your iPhone using Apple's on-device engine. No audio is recorded, uploaded, or sent to any server — LightLoop's or anyone else's.
References are parsed by a deterministic grammar, not a language model. The same words always give the same result — and it tells you which reference it heard before it acts.
In the web app, open Feeds → your feed → Settings and switch on Voice Follow. It's off by default, and it's per-feed — enable it for the sanctuary without touching the lobby signage.
